You've probably heard the term "frequency technology" or "microcurrent frequency device" and wondered: what does that actually mean? Is it real science, or just wellness marketing? As an aerospace engineer and Healy Senior Director working with customers across Canada, I get this question constantly.
This article explains Healy frequency technology from the ground up – without hype, without empty promises. Just clear, honest information about what it is, how it works, and what you can realistically expect.

What Is Frequency Technology?
Frequency technology refers to devices that emit electrical impulses at specific frequencies to interact with the body's own electrical systems. Your body is fundamentally electrical: your nervous system transmits signals via electrical impulses, your cells communicate through electrical gradients, and your heart beats because of electrical activity.
This isn't new science. Electrical stimulation has been used in medicine for decades:
- TENS devices (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) have been used for pain management since the 1970s
- Pacemakers use electrical pulses to regulate heart rhythm
- EEG and ECG devices measure the body's own electrical signals

What Is Healy?
Healy is a small, wearable wellness device that uses Individualised Microcurrent Frequencies (IMF). It connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth and runs frequency programmes for stress, sleep, focus, energy, and emotional balance.
